Indoors
Waste Management
Please try to help with waste management. Your host will deal with the bins when you leave. We are required to separate out cardboard, and clean cans. The bins in the Lodge are clearly labelled. There is small food bin beside the sink. The other bins are under the boiler in the lower cupboard near the door and are marked for contents. There is a container in the garage for glass and bottles. Thank you for helping with the environment and re-cycling.

IMPORTANT Toilet usage - biodigester
Please note that the Lodge and Cottage has a biodigester system. It is imperative that nothing other than natural sewage and toilet paper is flushed into the system. The small green box in the wooden container in the drive at the front of the Lodge is the oxygen pump for the biodigester. It runs all the time. For all other waste please use the bins provided in the bathrooms.
Heating and Hot water
Please be mindful of energy usage. The heating is preset to come on twice a day, early morning and evening. It can be overridden if necessary, but please do not leave it on this setting. The boiler is a combi boiler and hot water is produced when a hot tap is turned on. The family bathroom has an electric shower, the red switch outside the bathroom needs to be switched on before showering.

TV, WiFI, Bluetooth and Stereo
The TV is connected to the wifi. The stereo system is connected by Bluetooth. The Bluetooth controller is on the shelf below the TV on the left. You may need to switch it on and off in order to connect to your device. There is a selection of DVDs. The TV is already connected to the DVD player. If you want to connect a device to the TV by cable, disconnect the DVD from the HDMI socket on the back of the TV and plug in the long grey cable. WiFi details are beside the TV. The WIFi router is in the bedroom corridor.
Oven and Microwave
There is a red switch for the oven and hob on the splash back to the left of the hob. It is suggested you turn it off when not using the hob or over, otherwise the fan keeps running.
Linen and Towels
The linen and towels are already in place for your visit. If you run into any problems please contact your host.
Wet Weather and Boots
Please use the boot trays by the front door for your wet shoes and boots. It would be appreciated if you did not wear outdoor shoes in the rest of the house.
